Dr. Dworkin’s goal is to make sure that your experience with orthodontic treatment is successful and pleasant from the start. At your first appointment, he’ll examine you or your child and talk with you about your treatment options.
Dr. Dworkin can give you more detailed information about your condition and treatment options if you bring the following to your first consultation:
- Available x-rays from your dentist
- A list of your current medications
- Completed copies of relevant medical and dental insurance forms
- Your complete medical history
If you decide with Dr. Dworkin that you need orthodontic treatment, Dr. Dworkin will help you make an appointment to take photos and x-rays that will help him to create a unique treatment plan for your specific needs.
Treatment can start right away if you have seen your dentist recently. Treatment can take from six to 30 months or longer, depending on:
- Your age
- Type of problem
- Extent of movement possible
- Your consistent cooperation
- The type of appliances used
